The value of an educator shows in their students, so I'll let them do the talking.

Below are unprompted notes of thanks from my former students.

Thank you for always being understanding and perceptive. You can read my faces (aka confusion) better than anyone. Also, you're always there to help and you make it fun too. -- OB

I want to thank you for making math fun. Your enthusiasm for math and teaching it passed on to me, making it fun for me to learn it. I always knew I liked math, but you made me realize that I really like math.  -- ET

Thank you for everything! You're the type of teacher I strive to be. You care so much about your students and are invested in helping them reach their goals. Your patience knows no bounds! -- AM

You made me love math again and have taught me to find the silver lining - it's always out there.  Thank you for pushing me to try my absolute hardest, your patience, and your unfailing dedication. Of all the math teachers I've ever had, you're whole-heartedly the best and my favorite. -- KT

You've given me an appreciation for math that I didn't expect, as I usually consider myself a 'humanities' person. You helped

me realize that I don't need to be a 'math person' to enjoy and work hard in math - and for that I'm very thankful.  -- VZ

I've struggled with math for years, and I really wanted to give up and stop caring about what I do in math. You changed that for me. You gave me the motivation to be better and show you that it's not that I don't care but that I struggle. I'm making an effort to be a better student and person.   -- AA

I know I'm not the best student - math is just really hard for me - but you always go the extra mile and never gave up on me even when I gave up on myself. You've taught me so much! -- CJ

In the past, I probably presented my work

in class about once or twice a semester; that has changed because I actually understand the material. Thanks for making this year productive and fun!  -- JR

Thank you for all your help preparing me for the ACT test. I learned more from you in the short amount of time that we spent together than in all four years of high school math.

I was so incredibly nervous about preparing for this upcoming ACT, and I didn't know if this whole tutor thing was going to work for me. Now, I can say that I feel more prepared than ever, all thanks to the amazing tutoring I received!
